EXHIBIT B
NINING PLAN

We plan~to set up an open pit gravel operation on the property covered
by this application, for ocm own use or for..l~ns}~, Sor~Ch~ prrr~~po.co of
extracting river run or pit run gravel. No washing, screening~Erush-
ing are planned at this time.
Since this area is at the confluence of the Uneompahgre and Gunnison
Rivers and floods every few years, there is~ reQ` clam^ble top soil on~
the proposed site. Trees and brush will be remov_ed_onIy 'in the edi-
ate area of the pit and access road.
Removal of river run gravel will begin in the southeast corner of the
proposed area, either by front end loader or small drag line, loaded
onto trucks and hauled from the premises. Excavation will proceed
westerly across the bottom of area and northerly toward the north bound-
ary. Present indications are that less than ]5,000 tons per year will
be removed.
No water diversion or impoundment will be required for this operation.
While groundwater does get within 2 to 4 feet of the surface on occasion,
it has been our experience that we can go 8 to 10 feet deep much of the
year without encountering ground water.
It is our intent to follow the recommendations of the Division of Wild-
life as to depth, slope and configuration of the resulting ponds in
order to provide fish and wildlife habitat.
a
f
