There are no wells within 200 feet of the site either.
Teller County will give us a driveway permit upon approval of
the Conditional Use Permit being issued. This final hearing will
be on August 5th, 1993. Teller County Planning Commission has
approved the site and recommended such to the feller County
Commissioners. The driveway permit will be issued by Claude
Thompson, Teller County Road Supervisor, for access to the site.
The mining process for gravel will not undercut or damage the
County Road due to the contours of the terrain. The construction
of the driveway access will require minimal work as it is located
on the top of a knoll where a prior access is visible to the site.
Therefore there will be no significant construction for this
access. This is the reason for not including this road in the
permitted area.
The agreement between the applicant and Teller County has been
verbally approved by the County Road Supervisor for its location
and design. Signs to adequately warn traffic will be installed on
each side of the road of "trucks turning".
P. O.
