Telephone Conference. July 2. 1999. <br />A telephone report was made by Messrs. Altavilla and James, and the writer to <br />Dr. Pendleton on July 2"d as requested by him on June 24`s. in this report the writer stated <br />that no unusual problems had been observed, and that no need for further fieldwork could <br />be defined. Further, the writer stated that the drill rig that had been reserved for July 5`s <br />could be released because no need for drilling had been established in the office review <br />• and the fieldwork of July 1' and 2"" <br />3.0 GEOLOGY <br />The general geology of the area has been reported (AI, 1994) and since the present <br />report is supplemental to the 1994 report the geology will not be discussed here. The <br />reader is referred to the earlier report for matters pertaining to geology. <br />4:0 GROUND STABILITY REVIEW <br />The Site Specific Geology map (Exhibit 6-1)(SCC, 1995) shows 21 landslides, of <br />which 17 are pertinent to this investigation. These were subjected to comparative review <br />in accordance with the meeting of June 25, 1999. The review was a comparison of the <br />Site Specific Geology with work previously completed (AI, 1994) for the Yoast Mine. <br />• <br />
