t
~i
' At 1;he mid point of 6ection 11 slung Coal Creek the mining will
be :ln the shape of a channel. This channel will drain water- out
of the last mining pond so that rn~ standing wat er• is left in the
' reclamation. The channel itself will be at a very flat slope and
wil:i daylight orat approximately 1,000 feet Pr•onr East Quincy
Avenue. The channel will be designed to carry approximately 100-
' ye ar• storm. The channel will widen slightly as it proceeds
d~~wr7str•eanr and get less deep.
We w~~uld expect that in the Upland area one processing site will
' be utilized and two operators will actually be mining in a ten
acre and a five acre site. In the Lowland area, we would expect
there would be one permanent processing site setup and one
' oper•ator• proceeding downstream. Of course we have room for• more
minl.nq areas but our estimate of the present and future market
indicates that we will have this amount of activity. The mining
' plarr shows Phases A through E. We would expect that the Lowland
ar•eer 1n Coal Creek w~~uld begin in Phase R and then proceed
upstream in Phase C, D, and E. Phase 8 of the mining plan is the
Upland area in Section 11 and we would expect this to be w~~r•ked
t continuously with the Creek bottom.
TABLE OF DISTURBANCE
t Mal c!r .Disturbance Acres
Upland -- Mining IS
' Str•lpped
Tops~~ii Stockpiles 1
Lowland - Upstr•eanr of Pond and 5hor•eline S'
Stripped 3
' Topsoil 6tockpiles 1 ~~
' MoCe~i-ate _Distur_b~nce
Upland -- Processing Site SrA
Roads E.
' Graded Land 13
Office and Scale 0.g
Lowland - Processing Site 10
Settling Pond 0.5
Roads 7
Graded Land 5 71
' Minorr disturbance
Upland -- Seeded, Year• 1 IS
Seeded, Year• 2 3
Lowland - Seeded, Year• 1 3
Seeded, Year• 2 1
' rorAL 1aE
D - 4
u1
z~
