REQUEST
Dear Mr. Kubic:
In a submittal dated July 7, 1999, Trapper Mining Inc. requested an amendment to Permit No. CO-0032115 to reflect
the addition of three outfalls (021, 022, and 023). Trapper is hereby revising that submittal to reflect the need for an
one additional outfall (024) beyond the three originally proposed. Trapper's amendment request now addresses the
addition of four outfalls in total and is described as follows. A newly revised Figtue 4 is included with this submittal
to depict the location of additional outfa11024
The following criteria will apply to Outfa11021:
a) One pond will be built at the proposed location during the year 2000 construction season.
b) The receiving waters will be East Middle Flume Gulch.
c) The discharge will consist of stormwater runoff from disturbance associated with the mining operation and
possible mine dewatering.
The following criteria will apply to Outfall 022:
a) One pond will be built at the proposed location during the year 2001 construction season.
b) The receiving waters will be Deal Gulch.
c) The discharge will consist of stortnwater runoff from disturbance associated with the mining operation.
The following criteria will apply to Outfall 023:
a) One pond will be built at the proposed location during the year 2000 construction season.
b) The receiving waters will be East Flume Gulch.
c) The discharge will consist of stormwater runoff from disturbance associated with the mining operation and
possible mine dewatering.
The following criteria will apply to Outfa11024:
a) One pond will be built at the proposed location during the year 2000 construction season.
b) The receiving waters will be West Horse Gulch.
c) The discharge will consist of starmwater runoff from disturbance associated with the mining operation.
Additional information requested by the Division regarding sediment pond design criteria is presented in the
following table. This information should be incorporated into the permit document.
