Dear Sir/Madam:
This letter will serve as follow up, and conclusion, to an incident
of toxicity reported from site DMR 006 at the Edna Mine site.
The site failure on the ceriodaphnia test species was reported to
the Colorado Department of Health, via phone conversation with
Kathleen Sullivan, on October 30, 1995. This notice was followed
with a written notice as part of the mine's regular fourth quarter
reporting.
The sampling for the accelerated test at the site was conducted
during the weeks of 11/13/95 and 11/27/95. Both sets of
accelerated testing passed the criteria for lethality outlined in
the mine's discharge permit. A copy of the test results for both
tests is enclosed.
