On April 1, 1998, DMG found the Conger Harvesting Area application complete for the purposes of
filing. All comment and review periods began on April 1, 1998. The decision date for the application
is scheduled for May 1, 1998.
Within ten (10) days after submittal, you must publish notice in a newspaper of general circulation in
the locality of the proposed mining operation, Rule 1.6.2(1)(d). Within ten (10) days after submittal,
you must also mail or personally serve a copy of the notice to all surface and mineral owners of the
affected lands and surface owners of lands within 200 feet of the boundary of affected lands, Rule
1.6.2(1)lel. Proof of notice and mailings, such as Certified Mail -Return Receipt Requested, must be
submitted to the DMG prior to the decision date. Additionally, any changes or additions to the
application on file in our office must also be reflected in the public review copy which has been placed
with the Montezuma County Clerk and Recorder.
DMG is reviewing the application to determine whether it is adequate to meet the requirements of the
Act. We will contact you if additional information is needed.
Please be reminded that all operators must contact the Colorado Department of Public Health and
Environment, Water Quality Control Division regarding storm water permits.
