The system will reduce the impacts of travel by water trucks on United States
Forest Service (USFS) roads. This will help reduce the safely and envirotunental risks on the roads by
contractors and the general public. The system will also allow for additional dust and fire suppression
on MCC private lands and lands owned by the USFS.
MCC proposes to place aloes-pressure, high-volume pump at the mine de-watering borehole facility.
The water would be pumped in a 6" pipeline along the main roadway and the Main Stem of Sylvester
Gulch, approximately 4,5001ineaz feet to a portable tank (500 bbl. "frac" tank), located just inside
MCC's property in the SE1/4, SE1/4, Section 21, T.13S., R.90W., 6'h P.M. A second pump (high-
pressure, low-volume) would then be installed to pump water 6,000 lineaz feet, along an existing ATV
trail on USFS lands, via high pressure 2" hose to second portable tank (500 bbl. "frac" tank) located in
the vicinity of "Two Ponds". Two Ponds is located neaz the drill pad identified as SOM 126 in the
NEl/4, SE1/4, Section 27, T.13 S., R.90W., 6thPM.
It is planned that the ATV trail, from the Sylvester Gulch power line road to MCCs property boundary,
a distance of approximately 650 feet, will need to be widened to approximately l2 feet in order to
• accommodate the width of the temporar}~ tank. A pad approximately' 60 feet long and 12 feet wide will
be constructed on MCC's property to accommodate the temporary tank and pump placement. Topsoil
will be salvaged and stored in a small pile for re-distribution. A topsoil sign will be placed on the pile.
