No.: 97-3000 <br />Location: Routt County, CO Report No.: 6 <br />Client: Seneca Coal Company <br />Work Performed: <br />Date: 9/4/97 <br />Time: 2.5 <br />Mileage: 2 trips <br />EngrJTeeh: CR <br />As requested, we visited the project site twice on this date and conducted nuclear density test No.'s 16 through 2C <br />and retest No.'s 17A and 20A on the material being placed. <br />The excavation crew for Seneca Coal Company placed and compacted on-site borrow material for the darn <br />embankment of Pond 011. <br />Remarks: <br />The majority of the material tested generally met project specifications; however, moisture content was variable <br />The excavation crew was advised to scarify the lift and mix the material thoroughly in order to obtain a more <br />uniform moisture content. On our second visit to the site, this had been done and the retested material rangec <br />from 99% to 100% compaction and was within 2% of the optimum moisture Content. <br />I <br />Please refer to the attached sheet for the results of today's testing. <br />Verbal Discussions: <br />Chuck McCulloh of Seneca Coal Company was notified of today's test results. <br /> <br />
