Box 234 <br />Crested Butte, CO 81224 <br />RE: Mountainview Pit <br />Our File H 81-2 <br />Dear Mr. Eccher: <br />I finally got to speak to Bob Campbell regarding your site <br />after I had finished the enclosed adequacy letter. <br />After consulting with our Director, as stated in the other <br />letter, talking to Mr. Campbell, and considering that the size <br />of the affected area will be near the maximum limit for a limited <br />impact operation, I think you would be wise to submit the $2,500 <br />bond as stated in the application. Otherwise, you must submit <br />itemized costs as to what it would cost the State for reclamation, <br />as I had discussed before. I must emphasize that current typical <br />reclamation costs have been running $1,000+ per acre for sites <br />with gentle slopes.
