To determine these parameters the standards were compared to the values reported
during the baseline period and those values which exceeded standards or were within 80 % of the
lowest standards value. The list of parameters in Table 2.05.6-12 is deemed adequate to monitor
the springs and seeps.
TABLE 2.05.6-12
LORENCITO CANYON MINE
SPRING AND SEEP MONITORING PARAMETERS
Field Parameters Anal tical Parameters
Flow Total Alkalini
Tem erasure Carbonate as CaCO
H Bicarbonate as CaCO
S ecific Conductance Chloride
Nitro en, ammonia, unionized
Calculated Values Nitra[e as N (dissolved)
Cation-Anion Balance Sulfate
TDS (ratio -measured/calculated) Calcium (dissolved)
Sodium Abso tion Ratio Iron (total, total recoverable)
Hardness Ma nesium (dissolved)
Man anese (total and dissolved)
Lead (dissolved)
Potassium (dissolved)
Sodium (dissolved)
Zinc (dissolved)
TDS
H (laborato )
Conductivi 25` C
The parameters silver, cyanide, copper, mercury, and nitrite as N (dissolved) were not included
in this list since the standards are either less than the detection limit or no analyses of these
constituents were above the detection limits.
These sites are proposed to be monitored on a quarterly basis for the field parameters list and on
an annual basis in August for the analytical and calculated values list.
2.05-107
~R-o I
(revised 07/25/01)
