Dear Susan:
In accordance with our phone discussion July 1, 1985, enclosed is data for
the last quarter on the underdrains and piezometers installed in the mine bench.
The North subdrain has been monitored since April, see page GD-1 of the data
sheets submitted with the 1983 Annual Hydrologic Report. The Middle and South
subdrains were not adequately exposed for monitoring until July 3, 1985. At this
time the three drains are capable of individually draining into the #1 Pond, therefore
individual sampling was done this quarter. When the dirt stockpiled at the toe of
the bench is moved the three_drains will be connected by 1 ditch that dumps into
the pond and 1 collective sample will be taken.
