<br />CDPS GENERAL PERMIT <br />FOR SAND AND GRAVEL MINING AND PROCESSING <br />(AND OTHER NONMETALLIC MINERALS EXCEPT FUEL) <br />AUTHORIZATION TO DISCHARGE UNDER THE <br />COLORADO DISCHARGE PERMIT SYSTEM <br />In compliance with the provisions ofthe Colorado Water Quality Control Act, {25-S-IOi et seq., CRS, 1973 as amended} and the Federal Water Pollution <br />Control Act, as amended (33 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.; the "Act"}, this permit authorizes the dischazge of process water and stotmwater associated with <br />operations engaged in mining and processing of sand and gravel (including rock and stone used as aggregate}, and mining and quarrying of other <br />nonmetallic minerals except fuets, certified under this permt, from those locations specified throughout the State of Colorado to specified waters of the <br />State. Such dischazges shall be in accordance with the conditions of this permit. <br />This pertrti[ specifically authorizes the facility listed on page 1 of this permit to discharge process water and/or stormwater associated with operations <br />engaged in mining and processing of sand and gravel (including rock and stone used as aggregate), and mining and quarrying of other nonmetallic <br />minerals except fuels, as of this date, in accordance with the permit requirements and conditions set forth in Parts I and II hereof. All discharges <br />authorized herein shall be consistent with the terms and conditions of this permit. <br />Any party inay demand an adjudicatory heating within thirty (30) days of the issuance of this general permit determinanoty per the Colorado <br />Dischazge Permit System Regulations, Regulation No. 61(5 CCR 1002-61). Should the applicant choose to contest a~ of the effitteni limitations,' <br />motntoring requirements or other conditions contained herein, the applicant must comply with Section 24-4-104 CRS and the Colorado Discharge <br />Permit Systcm Regulations.
