GOMEZ: Good morning, at least for <br />15 minutes. My name is Mike Gomez. I'm a high <br />school English teacher at Centennial High :6chool. <br />And I also wrote a letter concerning <br />basically my concerns as it relates to the wildlife <br />and more specifically to the water, both surface and <br />some questions of the underground water. <br />Before I start on some specific <br />points, I felt that 2 would at least, being that <br />Mr. Dodson was here and entered some general comments <br />about the community into the record, that I also <br />would like to state some general comments to the <br />community and to the Mine Board, Reclamation Board, <br />some general perceptions, you know, at least in <br />somewhat of a rebuttal to what Mr. Dodson has said. <br />This committee was formed because the <br />mine is proposed for ten years. A11 of us who are <br />here and the majority of the people who are from the <br />San Luis area in the audience are going to have to <br />live the rest of their life there, and so that we ask <br />you as the Government's Board, who will issue <br />permits for this mine, to make sure and take that <br />into mind. We know you have that as your concern, <br />but that's what we're here for. <br />We're not going to -- you know, the <br />
