Copies of the inspection reports are
enclosed for your review.
With regard to Pond 1, repairs to the upstream face of the embankment (re-shaping, riprap
facing, repair of burrows, and reseeding as necessary) are contemplated as soon as
conditions (dry ground) permit. Top-of-fill construction stakes were placed for reconstitution
of the upstream face. There was too much water in the pond to place toe-of-fill stakes (at
the 3 horizontal to 1 vertical proposed slope).
With regard to Pond 2, some vegetation is appearing on the downstream slope of the dam
from the seeding last fall. The reappearance of cracks (observed throughout the general
vicinity) are probably due to desiccation of the materials of the dam. No slumping, bulging,
sliding, or other indication of dam failure were noted.
Please let me know if you have any questions, need additional information, or have any
comments concerning the impoundments.
Yours truly,
~j L~/~
Byron Ci.
