Pond, <br /> about 300 ft. from crest of hill below shop, In Kw. Water <br /> is collecting in puddles and evaporating and sinking in, <br /> sample taken as close to seep as possible. "Pond" is below <br /> topsoil storage. Flow less than %z gpm. <br />2 Spring - gw Spring in pit wall above road about 30 ft. below top of cut, <br /> flowing less than 5 gpm, disturbed area above, sample at <br /> source of flow. <br />3 Seep - gw Not enough flow to measure, in pit above X-seam, water <br /> flowed in summer'79. <br />4 Seep -gw Sample from standing water, source is X-seam coal but no <br /> measureable flow, X-seam saturated approximately I ~ feet <br /> below top of seam. <br />5 Spring - gw Spring inside of creek above pit, area above undisturbed, <br /> stratigraphically is below X-seam, flow 3-5 gpm. <br />6 Springs - gw Appears to be approximately 30 feet lower than 5 but is in <br /> pit wall, water was sampled at source again below X-seam. <br />7 Pit - gw, sw Samples taken at top and bottom of pond, at bottom of <br />• everything, water standing black with coal dust. <br />8 Seep - gw Water from pit face above coal seam, standing below. <br />9 Seep - gw Same as 8, only farther down, standing water sample. <br />10 Seep - gw, sw Standing water near the below shop, above sample 1, but <br /> still on hilltop, Kw. <br />11 Taylor Creek Flowing water, ~-10 gpm, algae, water disappears below <br /> - sw. land surface just downstream, above water tank fill-up, <br /> over Kw, just upstream of Ki. <br />12 Taylor Creek No flow, 8 inch damp cracks, location is upstream of pond. <br /> - sw <br />l3 Taylor Creek No flow, near clump of trees. <br /> - sw <br /> <br />2.04.7-31 <br />
