C~ <br />EXHIBIT K <br />Climate• <br />• <br />Kit Carson Gounty is located in the eastern part <br />of Colorado, about 150 miles east of the continental <br />divide. The elevation varies from about 3900 feet <br />in the east end of the county to 4700 plus in the <br />western part of the county. <br />This area experiences large temperature changes <br />from summer to winter, and rapid changes with wide <br />variations in the winter due to storms. The region <br />has low relative humidity and low amounts of <br />precipitation which varies from year to year. <br />Average precipitation in the west end of the <br />county varies from about 16 inches in the Flagler <br />area to 1g-19 inches in the Eurlington area. Most <br />precipitation ocurrs in the spring and summer. <br />
