~ • • <br />FYHTRTT .1 <br />Vegetation Information <br />The present vegetation consists primarily of sparse pasture grass less than <br />a foot tall. Cottonwood trees ranging up to 40 feet or more in height exist <br />along the Big Thompson River primarily in the northwestern corner of the area. <br />Most of the existing trees will be preserved for their aesthetic value. <br />EXHIBIT K <br />Climate <br />The average annual rainfall is 14 in. +, the prevailing winds are from the <br />north-northwest reaching a maximum velocity of approximately 100 mph. The <br />temperature on the average ranges from - 10°F to + 100°F. <br />EXHIBIT L <br />Reclamation Costs <br />The total costs of reclamation are estimated at $31,820.00, which includes <br />backfill, topsoil replacement. and riprap for all fill areas as indicated on <br />' the reclamation plan map. Also included is,the reseeding of, all lake slopes, <br />r. overburden storage.areas, fill areas and the_crusher.'and equipment area. The <br />' reseeding Costs were estimated at $85.00 using an application rate of <br />12 lb./acre and $1.15/lb. The total cost of the earthwork is estimated to be <br />$23,885.00 using $0.35 per cubic yard and the riprap cost is estimated to <br />' be $7,850.00 based upon $5.00 per cubic yard. An additional cost of recla- <br />mation is the replacement of water lost to evaporation. Based upon 0.1 in./day <br />for eight months, the expected evaporation is 21.3 ac-ft which will be offset <br />ac-ft yr <br />by augmentation of a portion of the 318.5 yr from Sump No. _1 as described <br />in Case No. W-4099 of the Water Court, Division 1, State of Colorado, dated <br />March 14, 1974. <br />
