EXHIBIT I
Soils Information
The extraction site has 1.5 to 7 feet of alternate layers of cobbles and
silty sand overlying the gravel layer. The depth of the gravel layer is
unknown since the test pits were dug with a backhoe to a maximum depth of
13 feet. A conservative estimate of the depth of this layer is 20 feet.
At known locations in the Big Thompson gravel producing area the depth
varies from 15 to 30 feet. For more detailed soils information, see the
enclosed mineral and gravel analysis prepared by Hogan and Olhausen, Inc.
in December of 1976. A portion of the Soil Conservation Service Map with
explanations of each soil series is also enclosed.
