I'm submitting the third quarter inspection reports for 1988 for your review. As shown, there are no major structural problems. Drainage reconstruction tech- niques eliminated the need for sediment cleaning this year in all sediment con- trol ponds except for Coyote Dam. We will clean 12 acre-feet of sediment by the end of November. The contracts are out for bid. All repairs noted in the first and second quarters have been completed. Ms. C. Thompson, while on site last week, noted all her previous concerns had been corrected and were satisfactory. The new Pyeatt Dams are being constructed this week. They should be done by month end and seeded. They'll be included in the next reporting period. The new staff gauge for Coyote Dam is being graduated to the nearest .O1 foot increments and should be in place by the end of October. There is no evidence of active piping in any of the dams with the old design cri- teria using culverts throughout the dams. The 1987 ponds are still showing a lack of vegetation cover due to the drought, but are not showing any erosion problems.
