• 2.05
2.05.1 Objectives
The objectives of this Section are to ensure that the Division is
provided with comprehensive and reliable information on the planned
loadout facility and to ensure that those operations will be
conducted in compliance with the Colorado Rules and Colorado
Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Article 33 of Title 34, as
amended, Colorado Revised Statutes of 1973.
2.05.2 Operation Plan - Estimated Area for Life of Operation
TCC plans to utilize 13.6 acres for coal loadout operation, as
shown on the Facilities map (Map 5). The location of the facility
is in Delta County, Colorado, between Paonia and Somerset, off old
State Highway 133 as shown on Figure 1, General Location Map. The
annual coal tonnage handled at this facility will be up to 500,000
tons. The TCC loadout will be operated as an independent coal
• handling and loadout facility; TCC will buy coal from various coal
mining companies in the general area for resale to international
and domestic industrial customers. Details of the operational plan
for the loadout facilities are delineated in Section 2.05.3.
2.05.3 Operation Plan - Permit Area
Production Methods and Equipment
TCC has selected its loadout equipment and general facility layout
on the basis of customer requirements. Each phase of the loadout
process has been carefully planned so that all equipment can be
operated in situations suitable to their designed capability. The
overall coal handling plan is designed so that coal can flow
logically from receipt to final loadout.
. 2.05-1
Rev. 06-15-93
