During the operator's work periods on the
' property, a number o[ deer have been seen. Other species may be
present.
' The planned development use of the property, i.e. industrial
' operation, on the floor area undoubtedly will preclude that area
as suitable wildlife habitat. The benches to be revegetated may
provide, largely by chance, some suitable habitat for certain
species. The improvement of wildlife habitat is not a part of
' this plan. Man's encroachment in the area is so severe that the
operator believes little added effect on wildlife will be caused
'
by the final land use.
' In developing the wildlife information, the operator
contacted the local wildlife conservation office to no avail. In
' order to be able to submit the required information, the operator
contacted Mr. Bert Baker, a consulting Wildlife Specialist who
1 f Wildlif
i
i
i
e
s
on o
v
for many years was employed by the Colorado D
' es a Wildlife Biologist. His report follows.
1
25
1
