• 3.8 UTILITIES AND SUPPORT FACILITIES <br />The support facilities and utilities at Trapper Mine, including, but not limited to, the office, shop, ware- <br />house, fuel and tube building, small vehicle and electricians' shop, storage tanks, explosives storage <br />areas, and powerlines are designed and located to prevent or control erosion and siRation; water pollu- <br />tion; damage to public or private property; damage to fish, wildlife, and related environmental values; <br />and additional contributions of suspended solids to stream flow or runoff outside the permit area. These <br />support facilities and utilities are in compliance with the performance standards of applicable ONice of <br />Surface Mining and Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board regulations as evidenced from the specific <br />descriptions in 3.8.1 and 3.8.2. The above facilities are shown on Maps M73A and M138. <br />The sewer outfall from all facilities except the small vehicle and electrician shop flows into a main sewer <br />line which ties into Craig Station's sewer system where d is treated. Sewer ou[Tall from the small vehicle <br />and electricians shop flows into a septic system and leach field directly west of the building. <br />The drainage from the Mine Facilities Complex (Map M13B) flows to the Industrial Waste Pond, <br />Impoundment H, or No-Name Gulch above the #5 dam. The No Name Dam #5 and Impoundment H <br />are sediment control structures and discharge into natural drainages. The water that flows into the <br />Industrial Waste Pond is routed into No-Name Gulch Pond #5. The monitoring of air and water quality is <br />discussed in Sections 4.7 and 4.8. <br />• The removal of these facilities and utilities will be in accordance with the procedures set forth in Section <br />3.8.a and will be done in a manner such that the risk of harm to the environment or to public health or <br />safety will not be significant. <br />In addition to the facilities discussed in this section, roads are discussed in Section 3.7; topsoil stockpiles <br />are discussed in Section 3.2; and dams and diversion ditches are discussed in Section 4.6.
