.,

d. Rangeland was chosen for post-mining land use because
there is native range on the adjoining property to the
north and is a good cover for preventing soil erosion and
providing wildlife habitat.
e. As per item d.
f. The topsoil will be seeded to the rangeland mix if not
replaced/redeposited for more than one growing season.
g. Seeding would be accomplished in the late fall to allow
early spring germination.
h. The stockpile will be seeded using a hand held
broadcaster. The seedbed will not be prepared. Once the
topsoil is redeposited following gravel mining
operations, the seedbed will be prepared using a
cultipacker and drilled with a tractor drawn Brillion
grass seed drill.
i. The seed mix was chosen by our agronomist with input from
the local SCS. The mix is a good selection of native and
drought resistant grasses that should provide good cover
and wildlife habitat.
Item 4. Exhibit F
a. A contour map has been included as requested. Exhibit F
is based on assumed thickness of the gravel to be
removed, i.e. at 40 feet.
Item 5. Exhibit G
a. There is adequate water from our irrigation rights
(Consumptive Use) to meet any water requirements that may
be needed for the project.
Item 6. Exhibit H
a. The SCS and Division of Wildlife was consulted regarding
the enclosed site. The D.O.W. has inspected the site and
found no threatened or endangered species.
Item 7. Exhibit J
a. The estimated average annual production for cropland on
or in the vicinity of the affected land is as follows:
Alfalfa 3.0 to 5.0 Tons/Acre
Corn 80 to 130 Bu./Acre
Malting Barley 65 to 95 Bu./Acre
