The request was based on the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology's fording that sedimentation ponds were no longer the primary technology used to treat <br />runoff from the Hayden Gulch Mine. The CDPHE approved the termination request in <br />October 1999. (Sottrce: Hayden Gulch Mine Technical Revision No. 68, approved by Colorado <br />Division of Minerals and Geology, January 13, 2000). <br />On the basis of the above information, and because the existing permit area is nearing the end of <br />the extended liability period, HGTI claims that they do not need to acquire any additional <br />licenses or permits. <br />Rule 2.08.6(3): Newspaper Advertisement and Proof of Publication <br />Attachment 3-4 contains a copy of the newspaper advertisement concerning the filing of the permit <br />transfer application and a copy of the proof of publication for the advertisement in the Steamboat <br />Pilot. <br />• <br />
