Of the 13 propoaed~or presently active gravel pit
operations, it appears, through conversation that due to the low key activity
there should be minimal stress or impact on wildlife in the immediate arel~s,
I[ should be pointed out, however, that all, operations should follow 404 guidelines.
Those sites which will consist of a crusher operation should not have any return
water flaw to the stream. Any of thirteen sites which should develop into anything
more than a small operation, the Division of wildlife would request additional
input by our agency.
Respectfully yours, ^ _
~`~~~ s ~
Jim Jones
District Wildlife Manager
JJ:mfb
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, Herrin Sherman, Executive Director • WIIDI.IFE COMMISSION, Vernon C.
