E~'~IT "G"
Water Information
(1) This operationis not expected to directly affect surface orgroundwatersystems. Historically no
ground water has been discovered on this pazcel of land.
(2) Since this operationis not expected to directly affect surface or groundwater systems, items (a)
(b) and (c) are not necessary. However some of the information is supplied as a matter of course.
(a) On the map there aze no water courses except for natural drainway (gullys) which run through
the permit boundary. Neither aze there any wells, springs, or reservoirs on the affected lands or
adjacent lands.
(b) There aze no known aquifers to be identified. This azea is a terrace gravel deposit and no aquifers
aze known.
(c) There will be no dewatering operation or runoff from disturbed azeas. A low earthen berm will
be placed around areas of excavation to prevent runoff from the pit area. A Stormwater Dischazge
Permit and associated Stormwater Manage Plan (SWMP) will be developed for this operation.
(3) There will be no water requirements for the development, mining and reclamation phases of this
project for this operation. Therefore no flow rates or annual volumes aze presented.
(4) As stated above no water will be required or involved so there are no sources of supply.
(5) A Stormwater Discharge permit will be applied for from the Water Quality Control Division of
the Colorado Department of Health and associated Stormwater Management Plan developed.
However, the applicant will not be acquiring or applying for a National Pollutant Dischazge
Elimination System Permit since there will be no dischazge.
