Outfall 005.006, and 007 <br />Effluent Parameter <br />Flow, MGD <br />Total Suspended Solids, mg/L <br />Total Iroq mgt <br />Potentially Dissolved Iron, mg/L <br />Oil and Grease, mg/L <br />pH, s.u. <br />Whole Effluent Toxicity, Chronic <br />Measurement Freauencv <br />Weekly <br />Monthly <br />Monthly <br />Monthly <br />Weekly <br />Weekly <br />Quarterly <br />Sample Type <br />Instantaneous or Continuous <br />Grab <br />Grab <br />Grab <br />Visual <br />In-situ <br />Grab <br />Self-monitoring sampling by the permittee for compliance with the monitoring requirements specified above shall be <br />performed at the following location: outfall 005 -- after the mine airshaft and before entering the unnamed mbutary to <br />Freeman Gulch, outfa11006 - will be after the pipe, which conveys the mine drainage to an ephemeral drainage, which flows <br />over Deer Trail Ditch, outfall 007-- will be sampled after the sedimentation pond, which then dischazges duectly to the North <br />Fork of the Gunnison River. <br />If the permittee, using the approved analytical methods, monitors any pazameter more frequently than required by this permit, <br />then the results of such monitoring shall be included in the calculation and reporting of the values required in the Discharge <br />Monitoring Report Form (DMRs) or other forms as required by the Division. Such increased frequency shall also be <br />indicated. <br />2. Salinity Parameters <br />In order to obtain an indication of the quantity of Salinity, measured as total dissolved solids (TDS) being dischazged from <br />the site, the pemrittee shall monitor the wastewater effluent at the following frequencies: <br />Outfall <br />001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 006, and 007 <br />Freauencv <br />Quarterly <br />Sample Type <br />Grab <br />Self-monitoring satnples taken in compliance with the monitoring requires specified above shall be taken at those locations <br />listed in Part I.B.1. TDS shall be sampled on a monthly basis until six samples have been analyzed. A report of "No <br />Discharge" shall not be counted as one of the six samples. Thereafter, monitoring shall continue on a quarterly basis. <br />Following submittal of the initial six sets of monthly data, the Division shall determine whether the pemvttee is required to <br />submit a report addressing salt removal in accordance with Regulations For Implementation of the Colorado River Salinity <br />Standards (5 CCR 1002-39). If the salinity report is required, the Division shall so notify the permittee by letter or through <br />the inclusion of a compliance schedule and the report shall be submitted within 180 days of notification. <br />See Part I.C. for Definitions. <br />Amended: March 4, 2002 Effective: May 1, 2002 <br />
