5'~ ~~SEZ~aN
4 R ~~
• 4.03.1 Haul Roads
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII ~~~- o~ 1z/~~/~~
999
No haul roads exist within the permit area.
4.03.2 Access Roads
No access roads exist within the permit area.
4.03.3 Light-Use Roads
The locations of all light-use roads are shown on Map 12, Mine Site Water Systems &
Refuse Area. All remaining roads within the permit area are considered light-use while
the mine remains in permanent cessation-reclamation status. Light-use roads will be
utilized only on an occasional basis.
Light-use roads have been located along ridges and on high ground wherever possible.
• None of the light-use roads are located in wet, steep, or potentially unstable areas or in
the channels of intermittent or ephemeral streams.
Most of the light-use roads are existing ranch and/or mining roads which are utilized for
both limited mine use and surface owner access. The remaining short connecting roads
were established during operation of the mine. No topsoil was removed and stockpiled in
conjunction with light-use road construction.
As necessary, EFMC has utilized localized drainage, erosion control, and stabilization
measures to control and minimize erosion, siltation and potential adverse impacts on
environmental values and the hydrologic balance.

681 a Revised: 2/27/98
~iYt-5
~N-o3 ~-~-9~
