be used. If the sum of the flowrates of the upstream nodes is
zero, then the averaged concentration will be defaulted to zero.
For "begin' nodes, the concentrations of all water-quality
C• variables will be initialized to zero in the module.
~ If ICH is equal to 1, the water-quality concentrations
~ associated with this element will be computed from site-specific
regression functions. In each case, the user has to supply in the
~ appropriate data file the regression coefficients.
~ If ICH(1)~1, then 5C, DS, TSS and SS will be computed as
functions of 0 according to the eqution 5 ~ A * ~ •• H. In the
~ equation, S is either SC, DS. T55 or SS concentraion; and A and H
are the appropriate regression coefficients. Usually, cF:e input
value of ~ is used in the equation. If a node has no input
~ value, the A value is then taKen as the flowrate from the
:~ immediate upstream nodes providing that the regression
coefficients for that node are available. The four pairs of
•
~ regression coefficients should be supplied in file ~COR according
~ to the following format:
TITLE
ID, A(1), B(1), A(2>, B(2), A(3), B(3), A(4), B(4)
i
~ The first line contains the title which describes the data
file. The maximum length of TITLE is BO characters. The ID is
the ID o4 the node with 09 omitted. The ID's in the file should
~ be in ascending order and unique. Data elements A(1> and B(1)
are the regression coefficients (intercept and slope,
respectively) as a function of D for SC; A(2) and H(2) are the
regression coefficients for DS; Af3) and B(3) are the reyression
Ex. 13-7
