When and what depth overburden will be replaced in relation to extraction. <br />This is primarily gravelly, sandy soils with little to no overburden. Any overburden encountered will <br />be c ~~~ filed sepazate fro rm he t~soil on the pit enP ~ ~ete~s for replacement in reclamation. <br />b. Maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes (horizontal:vertical) <br />The reclaimed pit floor will be level with a slight pitch to the south and east. Backslopes on the <br />north and the short west side will be finished at a maximum'of 1-1/~ or flatter, depending on <br />the material composition. ~- -~~ <br />c. Measures that will be taken to revegetate the site. <br />(i) Thickness of the plant growth medium to be replaced. <br />The SCS soils information indicates topsoil ranging from 3" to 8", which will be st i e on the <br />pit pe~ rim meters mentioned earlier. It is anticipated that 6" of topsoil or growth medium will be <br />available for replacement. <br />(ii) Time of seeding, seedbed preparation, type, application rate and soil incorporation, <br />method of fertilizer application. <br />Fall seedingCs>proposed and historically has provided the best results. The seedbed will be <br />scarified by discing or chiseling if it has been compacted during the operation.
