~_. <br />would appear to be a significant loss of water. However, give the intrinsic <br />difficulties of measuring the inflows underground, loss of water due to <br />ventilation currents and coal/sandstone porosities in dry areas of the mine <br />(where water must be pumped to the face), this value is within acceptable <br />limits. Furthermore, the amount of error is less than 10%, which is <br />considered acceptable given the above circumstances. <br />Generally, the mine is doing a good job at controlling and monitoring inflow <br />and outflow. No changes to the monitoring program are thought to be <br />necessary. As long as discharges from points 001 and 002 continue to meet <br />NPDES standards, no surface effects due to discharging groundwater will occur. <br />Further questions and comments will be entertained per our mutual agreement. <br />3907E/cj <br />
