C~ <br />REPLY TO TiiE R <br />Coal Mining Ycrm <br />EQUIREMENTS OP 34-32-112 <br />1) a. Pivc (5) copies of the application are enclosed. <br />b. Reclamation Plan. <br />The area which will be affected (see Mapl3) during the life <br /> <br />of the proposed coal mining operation and subject to reclamation <br />is restricted to that required for the portal installations and sur- <br />face plant, mine waste dumps and access roads on the coal lands. <br />About 30 acres will be required for the portal and surface plant <br />and perhaps another 3 acres for parking, equipment storage and <br />general use. The access road as now planned will affect 2 <br />acres. Waste rock dumps are estimated to require about 15 acres <br />of the total 35 acres. of affected lands, <br />The plan of reclamation after the mining operation terminates <br /> <br />or the portal site is no longer usable, is to permanently barricade <br />the portals, remove all equipment from the surface area and raze <br />any buildings which are not usable or needed. Concrete foundations, <br />slabs and other similar features will be excavated and either burled <br />or hauled to the county dumping area. After the removal of all ap- <br />purtenances, the area will be leveled and graded into the existing <br />topography. The mine dumps will be leveled and compacted. If <br />-1- <br />
