• Underground water can be stored in old workings that are
abandoned, and necessarily well removed from the area of coal
extraction. These reservoirs would automatically replenish under-
ground aquifers at or near the same horizon the water was removed
from.
11) The construction and use of erosion control dams are not part
of Applicant's plans. No surface waters or drainage channels will
be changed by Applicant's operations. If at some later date, dams
are needed, they will be constructed in accordance with permit re-
quirements of Section 37-82-122, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973.
12) If dams are needed for erosion control, Applicant will
become familiar with state statutes regarding dam construction as
• set forth in Article 87 of Title 37, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973.
13) No dewatering wells are currently planned by Applicant in
the construction or operations of the proposed coal mining opera-
lion. If conditions should require the drilling of dewatering wells,
a permit will be obtained in accordance with Article 90 of Title 37,
Colorado Revised Statutes 1973.
End of Exhibit ti.
-31-
