EXHIBIT D: Reclamation Plan
The final use of the tnined area will be a residential lot. The applicable La Plata County land
use permit has been obtained to allow for this use. No overburden is to be removed, only
topsoil. The resultant lot will be used as a residential home site.
Where possible, the slopes created by the soil removal will have a stable gradient equal to the
original slope. Parts of the site naturally contain 1.5H:1 V and steeper slopes, and these will
remain post soil extraction. Sufficient depth of topsoil will remain unexcavated to allow for re-
vegetation.
Drainage measures taken during the mining plan will remain in place as necessary to protect
and provide proper drainage for the residential site.
The existing road will remain to provide access for the home site. The cost of reclamation will
be those typical to new home construction. No formal construction quotation has yet been
obtained. APS Trucking does not currently have a building permit, thus a bond for re-
vegetation will be obtained. The seed mix and reclamation costs for re-vegetation if building
of residence is delayed will be as follows:
RECLAMATION COSTS
Soil preparation -harrowing or discing by tractor $ 500.00/ac
Seed purchase 150 00/ac
Seeding 150.00/ac
Mulch installation 350.00/ac
total $ l 150.00/ac
18.5% profit & overhead 212.75
5% office/administrative 57.50
total $1420.25
Seed Mix:
30% Western wheatgrass (Agropyron smithii)
20% Sand dropseed (Sporobolus cryptandrus)
20% Smooth brome (Bromus inermis)
20% Small Burnet (Sanguisorba minor)
(0% Annual Rye (Lolium annuem)
sown at a rate of l5 Ibs/ acre.
