Exhibit 71 Hydrologic Chazacterization South ofthe Divide Area and Monitoring Plan 25 <br />• 4.4.1.9 SDYInF G-14 <br />Spring G-14 is located in Sylvester Gulch east of the NE mine panel area (Map 1). This spring issues <br />from fractures in the base of a sandstone bed. It flows seasonally and is typically dry in the late summer <br />and fall. Monitoring at this spring began in 1977. <br />4.4.1.10 SnrinP G-22 <br />Spring G-22 is located in the Sylvester Gulch drainage on a hillside on the west side of the drainage just <br />south of a mine ventilation shaft and east of the NE mine panel area (Map 1). It issues from alluvium <br />over a wide area and feeds a wetland on the west side of Sylvester Gulch. Flow diminishes in late <br />summer and autumn. Monitoring at this spring began in 1977. <br />4.4.2 Springs above the B Seam in the Box Canyon Area in the North Fork <br />Drainage Basin <br />4.4.2.1 SPrInX 11-2 <br />Spring 11-2 is located east of Box Canyon on a hillside on the south side of the North Fork (Map 1). This <br />spring is north of the Box Canyon panels. It issues from alluvium below a sandstone cliff, has seasonal <br />flow, and is often dry in summer and autumn. Monitoring at this spring began in 2000. <br />4.4.2.2 Spring 10-1 <br />Spring 10-1 is located on the east side of Lower Box Canyon (Map 1). It is north of the Box Canyon <br />panels and issues from alluvium on slopes tributary to the North Fork. Flow is seasonal and it is typically <br />dry in late summer. Monitoring at this spring began in 1999. <br />4.4.2.3 SDrlnP EIO-2 <br />Spring E10-2 is located on a hillside east of an unnamed drainage tributary to the North Fork of the <br />Gunnison River between Sylvester Gulch and Box Canyon (Map 1). This spring is in landslide material <br />below a fractured sandstone cliff. It is north of the Box Canyon panels. Flow has not been observed <br />during the past 3 years. Monitoring at this spring began in 1996. <br />4.4.2.4 SprrnQ IS-1 <br />Spring 15-1 is located on the west side of an unnamed drainage tributary to the North Fork of the <br />Gunnison River between Sylvester Gulch and Box Canyon (Map 1). This spring is north of the Box <br />Canyon panels. The spring issues from alluvium and water is present only during peak flow months. <br />Monitoring at this spring began in 1996. <br />4.4.2.5 Springy <br />Spring G-la is located in Sylvester Gulch on the west side of the drainage, north of the Box Canyon panel <br />• area (Map 1). It issues from alluvium and is seasonal with moisture present only during periods of snow <br />melt or peak flow. Monitoring at this spring began in 1983. <br />Apri12006 HydraGeo, lne. <br />
