We
don't think this is a good use of a limited resource in the West.
Where is this water to come from and who has the senior and junior
rights to this water?
(2) We are also concerned about the impact of contamination
and silt on the trout population in Tallahassee Creek as well as
the impact of constant blasting on the nearby Big Horn Sheep herds
during the lambing season.
We are not opposed to all gravel pit operations. However, we are
opposed to this particular operation because of its location and
potential impact on water quality and wildlife.
We respectively ask that these remarks be read into the record and
become a part of the record at the Informal Conference.
Sin rely,
Carmi McLean
Colorado Director
cc H.
