This permit
should be refused at this time for several reasons. This azea is primarily a residential azea
(one of the oldest subdivisions in Weld County) in which we enjoy the peace and quiet of
the rural azea. The truck traffic that will be generated will devastate the way of life we
love so much. The three working pits along WCR 25 have caused many problems
already; traffic congestion at Highway 85, early morning noise, traffic accidents,~and air
pollution -both dust and diesel fumes. ~
i
My home has a shallow water well that will most likely be affected by this mine. I The
quality of the water may decrease or the well may dry up. We have lived about % mile
south of the Heit property since 2000 and do not want to move. We have worked hard to
increase the value of our property and have accrued a lot of "sweat" equity. This will all
be lost if a permit is granted for the Heit mine as property values will dwindle.
There are many other concerns but I will keep this short, in suuunary:
PLEASE DO NOT GRANT THE PERMIT FOR THE HEIT LOCATION
Since y,
~~'~~~i~
odd M.
