<br />Reclamation of the pit will begin in the spring of 2000 and end in the fall of 2003. <br />Reclamation will begin in Area I, and proceed each year until the process is complete, the <br />pit has been divided into 4 areas, as shown on the Revised Reclamation Plan Map. Each <br />year the area to be reclaimed will be re-graded so that it conforms with the final contours, <br />(shown as dashed red lines on the.reclamation plan map); the gradient will not exceed 3:1 <br />in any location. Afrer regrading, the stockpiled surface soil will be spread over the graded <br />area at a depth of 6" - 8". Both this soil and the soil beneath will be disced to insure that <br />seeding will take place on an uncompacted surface. <br />Seeding will be done according to the preliminary estimate of reclamation costs provided <br />by the Division to the applicant on November 10, 1999 (11 pages). This estimate, and the <br />the tasks outlined in it ,have been accepted by Mr. Evan Melby and are hereby <br />incorporated into the revised reclamation plan. <br />Grass planted will be Crested wheatgrass at the rate of 5 5 Ibs pls per acre, Forbs planted <br />will be Milkvetch at the rate of 6.5 Ibs pls per acre and yellow sweet clover at the rate of <br />8.0 Ibs pls per acre ,shrubs planted will be saltbush at the rate of 0 5 Ibs pls per acre. <br />Total estimated cost of reclamation is $8,500 and financial surety has been posted. <br />
