Memo to Larry Oehler 2 December 22, 2004
DMG has determined that construction of the proposed slurry wall in accordance with the draft
specifications provided with the November 22, 2004 submittal should result in a wall that meets
leakage performance standazds established by the State Engineer. Hence, this permit application,
once approved, will be eligible for the 20 percent slurry wall bond. If the final specifications are
different in any way from the draft specifications, DMG must be provided a copy of the final
version. Also, the Applicant must provide a written commitment that mining will not intersect
ground water (within the areas to be walled) until the DMG has reviewed and accepted the final
slurry wall construction report, including quality assurance test results.
co: Carl Mount, DMG (via email)
c:\acs\LOANER MACHINEU1y Documents\Tucson South 2.doc
r
