During the sampling and field work conducted by Uniscale, no rare and endangered plant
species were encountered. Therefore, no impacts of these species are expected. Due to
the small area which will be disturbed during the term of this permit, no impact of raze and
endangered plant species is expected.
In response to Stipulation 18, a summary of the current actual disturbance for each
vegetation type at the Golden Eagle mine was added to the permit. This data has been
updated to include all disturbance at the site at the star of filial reclamation (that lies
within the current permit and disturbance area boundaries). No additional disturbance is
anticipated to occur during the new permit term and through final bond release.
ACTUAL DISTURBANCE ACREAGE

Type of Vegetation Acres Percent
Grassland 50.38 96%
Pinion Juniper 1.90 4%
TOTAL 52.28 100%
Because the Pinion-Juniper comprises five percent or less of the affected acreage, no
additional sampling will be required by the Division.
In response to Stipulation 19, Basin will utilize the standard of cover and production on
the grassland reference areas at the Golden Eagle Mine. Therefore, Basin will not be
implementing a vegetation sampling program.
• 2.03-31 (PR=bB3 04/03/00)
RN~o3
