2.04.8 Climatological Information <br />The climatological information for the Golden Eagle Mine <br />has been taken from the U.s. Department of Commerce reporting <br />stations located at Trinidad and North Lake Colorado. Data <br />collection from these two locations are representative of the <br />Golden Eagle permit area. The Trinidad station is 6,030 feet <br />above mean sea level at latitute 37°10', longitude 1.04°29'. The <br />North Lake station is approximately 8,800 feet above sea level <br />at latitude 37°13', longitude 105°03'. In addition, data from the <br />FAA weather station located at the Trinidad, Colorado Airport <br />have been used. <br />The mean monthly precipitation for both the Trinidad and <br />North Lake reporting stations are shown on Table 12, <br />Climatological Data - Trinidad and Table 13, Climatologic+~l Data <br />- North Lake. The average wind direction and velocity of the <br />prevailing winds is ten knots per hour from the southwest. Mean <br />monthly temperature and temperature ranges are shown in Tables <br />12 and 13. In addition, wind data from the Trinidad, Colorado <br />airport and Annual Climatological Summary for 1970 are included <br />in Exhibit 11, Climatological Information. <br />~" <br />2.04-26 <br />
