• Thomas Scientific Co
99 Hill Road
P. 0. Bor. 99
Swedesboro, N. J. 08085-D099
(800)345-21D2
The above suppliers are ones we have found to be competitive
and reliable; we have no economic interest in these
companies. The Slope Indicator pneumatic sampler is a unique
piece of equipment; we are not aware of a comparable unit.
The Gisco M Scope is probably one of the more popular water
level indicators.
Sultan Mountain Mine should consider performing the analyses
in their own facilities once operations commence. We noted a
flame atomic absorption unit in the laboratory as well as a
large variety of glass ware. On cursory er.amination, we
believe that the only additional major item required would
be a nephelometer to perform sulfate analyses. This unit
would cost appro>:imately 5600 including sample vials and a
spare bulb if purchased from Thomas Scientific (Lamotte
Model BH-2, Thomas Cat. No. W 9865 K 10). Over the life of
the operation, substantial savings in analytical costs coulc
be realized as the the EPA approved methods far metal
analysis require a flame AA unit.
_.<-
22 December 1985 '~~
,~ -
..-
• -30-
