III iiillllllllll III
999
AS BUILT CERTIFICATION
FACILITIES AREA POND
I, the undersigned, a licensed Professional Engineer in the State
of Colorado, make the following certification of the as built
Facilities Area Pond structure. The pond was constructed using an
existing pre-law pit and had inflow and outflow structures formed
to match the existing pit and meet design criteria. The pond was
constructed between May of 1994 and July of 1994 as schedules
permitted. I personally observed the construction process on a
daily basis and certify that the pond was built using current best
available technology. The pond meets or exceeds design criteria as
detailed in the Edna Mine Permit (C-80-001), and was built to those
specifications with the following exception. The half round
culvert specified on the inlet down drop structure was found to be
structurally inadequate. For this reason culvert, of the same
diameter was substituted. The culvert was checked, via Sedcad, to
insure that it would handle flows required in the hydrologic
design. I also certify that the pond currently has adequate
sediment storage capacity to meet that required in the permit
document.
David L. Beverlin
P.E. #24739
