There will be approximately 4.14 acres dis-
' turbed for the crushing plant haul road and scale. Over the life
of the mine, the crushing plant and/or scale may be moved to as
' many as six locations on the property. As the plant is moved
_ so the ground it stands on can be mined, that amount of acreage
will be left undisturbed in Stage P to properly balance the land
t disturbed at any given time during operations. There will be
another 4.61 acres + disturbed in a life-of-the-mine location
for Suburban's concrete batch plant. Stage P will be counted as
disturbed over the entire life of the mine.
Suburban will attempt to complete grading, reshaping, seeding,
' mulching and fertilizing within one year of the completion of
each mining stage.
' Planting, mulching and fertilizing will occur in the fall of
each year whenever possible. If fall planting is not possible,
' we will plant between April 1 and May 15 in each revegetation
' year. During the two remaining years of a reclamation phase,
reclamation progress will be monitored and remedial work will
' be performed where necessary.
Reclamation Standards. Grading will create a topography
appropriate to the final land use. Initial mining methods and
' backfilling into the lakes will create irregular shorelines
1 - 13 -
