The plan fox weed control will irrvolve two steps.
1. Each spring an examination of the site wt71 be made to determine what the weed situatimt is
and to identify where problem populations are found. If necessary, a map will be produced
to show where these populations aze located and GP5 coordinates will be taken to identify
the locations of the problem populations,
2. When a problem population is found that camtot be controlled by spot spraying with
'. corrmwn herbicides (2,4-p; glyphasate; dicalmba; etc.) or mechanical rttcaos, a licensed
wad control contractor with access to specialized and restricted use herbicides will be
retained to do the control. For small populations that can be controlled with spot spraying
or tnechatrical means (e.g, putting), control will be itnpTetnented as appropriate for that
species. (Note: It is possible that comparry persorutel will obtain the appxopdatc licensing
so they can acquire and apply restricted httbicides. In that case, hiring a contractor will
not be necessary.)
Adjacent Property Controls:
Continental Materials will not be responsible for controlling weed popula8ons on adjacart land
where expansion into this site is a possibility, except by prior agreetnettt. l-Iowevcr, the owner of that
property will be notified that they have a weld problem that could expand into this site and control will be
requested. This applies as much to public land or comity land as it dots to private land. Under the
.principles set forth in the Colorado noxious weed control laws, it rratst be recognized that effective weed
control is not achievable unless all landowners cooperate with the law. Tf the adjacent owner does not
control their weeds than Continental Materials will take efforts to control weeds that invade unto this site
from that site. if the adjacent weed infestation is a List A species and control by that landowner is not
implemented in accordance with law, then the weed infestation will be reported to the county weed
supervisoz fox appropriate action and arty individuals of that species that invade dais site will be promptly
eradicated

Weed Control Plan Pueblo East Pit M-1986-015 07l27lt14 Page 2 of 2 pages
