Clods <br />were broken up prior to grinding and sieving the <br />sample. Large rock fragments were removed <br />and weighed. Sample material was sieved. <br />Remaining rock fragments left on the 10 mesh <br />(2 mm) sieve were removed and weighed. <br />Remaining soil clods left on the 10 mesh screen <br />were ground until the sample just passed the <br />screen.
