Long
Dwision Director
Basically, Mr. Dillie who did the analyses, concurs with your determinations
and states, in conclusion, that the probability of a single slope failure
causing structurai damage to the pipeline is very small unless mining
activities continue at the toe of the embankment after the pit has reached its
permitted depth. The permitted lii:1V mining slope must therefore be observed
to protect the embankment.
I have enclosed a copy of Mr. Dillie's analyses
have further questions.
Sincerely, ~~ ""
l G2"~u.,~L.l ~~~-~L..IC
Lorraine Stepenske
Reclamation Specialist
LS/amm
Enclosure(s)
cc: Cars Mount, DMG
Jim Dillie, DMG
7510E
Please contact me if you
COLORADO
