See <br />attachment. - <br />2. Soil properties - (See attachment) <br />3. Present Vegetation: <br />This area is principally a grass-shrub complex with occasional <br />epecimana of Ponderosa Pine and Douglas Fir. Common plants in <br />the area are: yucca, Arizona fescue, mountain muhly, blue <br />grams, sedge, aster, Fringed sage, geranium, mountain mahogany, <br />herbaceous sage, squirreltail grass, little bluestem, smooth <br />brome, Canada wildrye, oakbrush, and Columbia needlegrass. <br />~;stimated annual forage production is 1200-1800 per acre, air <br />dry. Plant density is 15-?_~s; basal cover. <br />Reclamation Plan: <br />Gradinrs: The operator plans to grade the entire elope to 3:1 or <br />flatter in order to reduce the requirement of expensive netting material. <br />This grading will De done as the minerals are removed. <br />Topsoil: The upper six inches of soil will be, and is being, stockpiled <br />for future use. Sin® this ie being accomplished through the mining <br />process, it will not be itemized as a coat for reclamation. Topsoil <br />will be replaced at a thickness of 2-ly" deep after grading and sloping <br />has been completed. <br />Grade Stablizations At this time, the plan ie to install terraces across <br />the slope in order to reduce the length of run and threat of excessive <br />erosion. After the mining has been completed and grades established, <br />other alternatives may be considered if warranted.
