These amendments arc included on pages 1u and .Ib uC tl;e <br />permit. <br />The Division has also evaluated this permit and ha; detc•rmincrl that a renewal <br />permit with updated permit language is npproprinte. 1'liis permit Kati been <br />extended and will exlrirc on June 70, 1990. <br />Blue Ribbon Coal Company estimates that ac[ivo mining inay still continue (ur 5 <br />years, with no anticipated nr known changes to occur for the wastewater <br />treatment system. The discharge <br />monitoring report data submitted by Bluc Ribbon Coal Company for [he last yc;lr <br />indicates general compliance with purmit effluent limitations: pll (6.75-8.7 <br />s.u.), 06G (not visible), TSS (4 .8-50.5 mg/1), Tut.IL Iron ((7.0 - 7.5 mg/J.), <br />Flow (0.062-0.776 MCD). A few exceedances of iron and 'C55 rnncentrations have <br />previously occurred. <br />BAT requirements for this facility are also being in.:ludod in the renewal <br />permit. Blue Ribbon Coal Company will now have to monitor and meet permit <br />limits for settleable solids in addition to the uthr.r previous parameter <br />monitoring. BAT requirements are further discussed in the following rationale <br />pages and are included on pat,cs la, lb and Ic of the permit. <br />
